Rockets’ Lario joins BCIHL’s Miners

Golden Rockets captain Jordan Lario will play for the Logan Lake Miners in the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League next season.

Lario, 21, led the Rockets with 61 points in 44 games, setting career highs in goals (28) and assists (33). In four seasons with the Rockets, Lario played in 93 career KIJHL regular season games and recorded 40 goals and 53 assists for 93 points.

“I’m happy to be continuing my education and very grateful for everything Head Coach-GM Chuck Wight and the Golden organization has done,” said Lario.

Early in the season, Lario appeared on Top Shelf – The KIJHL Podcast and shared what the Rockets do for player development and how it helped him. His interview begins at the 3:50 mark.

Wight said Lario made a big impact on the Rockets program on and off the ice.

“I am excited to see him continue playing while pursuing an education. He will become a big asset to his new team based on his drive and skill set,” said Wight. “Golden thanks him for his time here and wishes him all the best with this new chapter.”
