Rockets Announce New Assistant Coach

The Golden Rockets wish to introduce their newly-appointed Assistant Coach for the upcoming season, as Jared Houseman takes his position behind the bench alongside Head Coach/GM Chuck Wight.
The position became vacant last spring as Associate Coach Ethan Maertens-Poole advanced to an Assistant Coach position with the Niverville Nighthawks of the Manitoba Junior ‘A’ Hockey League.
Jared brings to the Rockets a high level of energy, organization and passion. His solid resume includes several of the past years within the Saskatchewan Hockey Association system, where he acquired strong and key experience in hockey instruction, evaluation and development. He has instructed at hockey camps for both male and female teams, coached, and been part of the evaluation group for Team Saskatchewan as well as for the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
Jared and his young family recently moved to town. Golden and all of Kicking Horse Country send a hearty “Welcome” to the newest Rocket!
