Saturday, December 4th, 2021 Kimberley 7 Rockets 0
Saturday night at the Plywood Palace saw the Kimberley Dynamiters come to town for the second time this season. This weekend’s game is the first in a trio of consecutive games the two clubs will play against each other within the next seven days. In late October, the Nitros journeyed home with a close 3-1 win. On this occasion, the visitors hit the ice in full stride and at a high tempo, and continued their torrid pace throughout the contest, rolling to an eventual 7-0 shutout.
Kimberley hit the Rockets with a combination of a well-balanced offensive attack, coupled with solid, disciplined defensive work, holding period leads of 4-0 and 5-0.
Rockets found themselves back on their heels for much of the game, with the big difference in the contest being the Kimberley speed on the ice. The Nitros struck for no less than four powerplay goals. Levi Hall in the Golden net was kept very busy all game, with the opposition enjoying upwards of five breakaway opportunities, of which Hall came up with some remarkable saves.
Dynamiters outshot Golden 49-22.
