I am very pleased to be Coach and GM of the Golden Rockets of the KIJHL. The community of Golden has a strong fanbase of supporters and sponsors and this fuels the Rockets. We are in a great location in the middle of the Rocky Mountains and the opportunity to develop athletes in this location is amazing.
As a professional coach with 22 years experience, I look forward to helping our athletes and team reach higher levels of performance. Optimal performance is what our program will strive for while using every day as an opportunity to grow and to reach for higher levels. This can only be achieved with support from our parents, staff and community.
In Golden, we have put together a strong group of qualified staff and volunteers to make growth possible for the athletes and the program. The Town of Golden embraces this team with support from billets and sponsors who make living here more comfortable for our athletes. The opportunity to have a positive impact on our community is important to our athletes and staff and we look forward each season to immersing ourselves in the community.
Through the growth of our scouting network, including former players and Global Sport Academy, we are growing our scouting reach and identifying the growth areas in our program. We have added sport specific training with professional strength coaches from Base Health & Wellness along with using technology from Instat Analytics and Hone Athletics. These key components for today’s game will provide support for our athletes and their pursuit of optimal performance.
